Where We Work

Open Ground will come to your area and help in recommending suitable venues for trips.  Having worked in all the mountain and hill areas of Scotland, we can bring local stories and knowledge wherever you choose to explore.  However, Open Ground is based in Argyll and has access to several local venues which are ideal for place-based education, and has developed an exciting relationship with a local estate who contribute collaboratively on some projects.  For research and consultancy we can travel to your area to establish the context to the work.

Open Ground is involved in several projects to develop ecological education centres, which will engage with the cultural and environmental life of their places.  These venues will provide a base for place-based education, ecological consultancy, environmental research and eco-tourism.  It is hoped these venues will play host to some of Open Ground’s work and many other organizations.  If you are interested in supporting this, please get in touch.
